Kolade Olatifede

Mr Kolade Olatifede is the Director of Finance and Corporate Services of AfricaRice. He is a finance professional and chartered accountant with over 30 years of experience in international organizations in Africa, Asia, and Europe. He has guided international agricultural research centers, including two CGIAR centers, and the African Development Bank, in accounting, budget, enterprise resource planning, finance, contracts and grants, donor relations, due diligence, travel, procurement, ICT, operations, administration, policy, strategy and treasury.
Since joining AfricaRice in 2018, he has been driving the implementation of the financial recovery plan of the center which has led to a break in successive budget deficits. Prior to joining AfricaRice, he has successfully played a leading role in implementation of three ERP systems (Maconomy-Deltek, Oracle Applications and Platinum) in centers he has worked for. He has directly contributed to transforming financial management systems of organizations to improve their reporting activities.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), Associate Institute of Management of Nigeria and a holder of master’s degree in business administration from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. He has training in various disciplines including effective management of non-profit organizations from Harvard Business School, Boston, USA; IFRS & IPSAS from Euromoney Training, UK; Oracle Financial Applications, Oracle South Africa.
