AfricaRice regards its outputs of research and development activities as international public goods and is committed to their widespread diffusion and use and to achieving the maximum possible access and scope of impact from them for benefit to the poor, especially farmers in developing countries. AfricaRice believes that Open Access (OA) and Open Data (OD) will help further its mission as a research center.

 

The implementation of the AfricaRice ‘Publication Policy’ and ‘Open Access and Data Management Policy’ follows the adoption in 2013 of the CGIAR Open Access and Data Management Policy and in 2014 of the CGIAR Open Access and Data Management Implementation Guidelines.
